About
Dancers and performers are constantly bombarded with conflicting information, comparisons and advice from unreliable sources.

The Strong Dance Project (The STRODA Project), founded in 2019, is all about bringing together the knowledge, experience and scientific research that should be changing the way dancers and performers think about their bodies and the way they train.

This website is a source of information for everyone from the young student dancer, the professional performer, all the way through to the teacher. We are able to provide workshops to schools, companies and organisations looking to improve their movement. You can also check out our instagram!
Carys Swanton
Carys started her training in dance at a young age, focusing mainly on ballet, tap and modern. After school she completed a 3 year vocational course in Musical Theatre and went on to perform professionally.

Alongside performing, Carys completed her L3 Qualification in Personal Training and went on to graduate from Trinity Laban Conservatoire with a masters degree in Dance Science.

Carys' research looked into the muscular activity of the back while performing ballet in regards to dancers supplementary training.
Now completing her L4 Strength and Conditioning coaching course, Carys aims to bring information about the performer's body and training to the performer.
